Forest of Dean District Council has published its Revised Draft Local Plan 2025–2045 and is inviting residents to share their views.
The Local Plan sets out how the district could grow and change over the next 15–20 years. It covers topics such as housing, employment, transport, community facilities, utilities and environmental protection.
This consultation is your opportunity to comment on proposals that might affect Clifford’s Mesne, Newent and the wider Forest of Dean.
Consultation Period
Wednesday 4 February 2026 – Wednesday 18 March 2026
There are multiple consultations across the Forest of Dean towns and villages. Newent’s consultation is on 23rd February in the Newent Community Pavilion on Watery Lane, besides the sports field. There is a fairly large car park beside it.
All comments must be submitted by 18 March 2026.
