Overview

The Village Hall can accommodate 50 people at table (with crockery and cutlery to match). Other setups may reduce the number – for example for the pop-up cinema layout it’s a 40-seat capacity. 

Hall hire is £12 per hour (£15 if the kitchen is required). This is inclusive of electricity and heating.

Facilities

  • Audiovisual: 4 speakers; PA system; full cinema system with 40 seat capacity, 16:9 aspect ratio – approx 9ft wide screen (2.7m x 1.51m), blackout blinds in place, laser projector; HDMI cable; Note: DVD/media player not included
  • Car parking: Minimal – space for 6 cars outside
  • Cleaners cupboard
  • Defibrillator: Just outside the main entrance
  • Disabled access: Entry gate is 147cm wide. Although the steep ramp to the front entrance is within code; there is a more gentle path to the well-lit disabled access at the rear. No steps or stairs to negotiate
  • Electricity: Double mains points around the hall with solar power (more ecofriendly!)

  • Skittles: 9-pin skittles alley (removable)
  • Small hall: Contains the bar area
  • Small library: Please keep any book that you borrow!

This is a full catering kitchen with the following facilities:

  • Caterers’ food/plate warmer cabinet
  • Central steel prep table
  • Coffee machine
  • Cooker: double width, hob with 5 rings, extractor fan
  • Cutlery & Crockery for 50 people
  • Dishwasher
  • Fire blanket
  • Fire extinguisher
  • First Aid kit
  • Hatch through to the main hall
  • Hand-washing station
  • Freezer (half height and at worktop level)
  • Fridge (full height)
  • Microwave
  • Sinks x 2
  • Water heater (for washing up)

What you need to bring with you / take away

  • Audiovisiual: Please bring your own laptop or DVD player if using the projector and/or speakers

  • Kitchen linen: Tea towels, tablecloths, dishcloths etc
